This really resonated with me due to have severe childhood trauma. Not in exactly the same ways, I am sure. We're all different, as are our experiences. However, I empathise as much as I can. I try not to let the world embitter me. It's hard. You have to protect your own wellbeing and space.

It was very brave to share this, Ruri. I admire you. You always seem a very cerebral and honest person. I hope that you and your family recover from this unfortunate circumstance, whatever it is. You're a driven and resourceful person, so I have faith that you will.

Again, 'appreciate you sharing this. I was having a bad day mentally, and it does help to remember that everyone has their struggles and is trying to keep going.

I grew up in a family that was always fighting each other and ended up being someone that unconsciously tries to avoid clashes. It took me time to notice this and see how that tendency was impacting my life.

Nowadays, my way of dealing is being actively aware of what is worth arguing and fighting for and/or investing my time. Of course, we never know for sure.

I guess with trust it might be similar. We may end up choosing which risks are worth taking, and will probably collect some scars along the way. But I think that's how we make connections, being vulnerable and real. Knowing when to do that is the big question xD but, as you say, it is part of appreciating the good times more.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I appreciate your time and knowing a bit more about you. Hope this finds you well o/
