We all have days when motivation is hard to come by. But what if I told you that you don't need the motivation to achieve your goals? Instead, what you need is discipline.
Discipline is the ability to do what needs to be done, even when you don't feel like doing it. It's the key to success, whether you're trying to advance in your career, improve your health, or achieve any other goal.
One way to develop discipline is through daily practice. I've been doing something called "daily discipline practice," where I do one thing per day that I absolutely don't have the motivation to do, but I remind myself that it's a discipline practice and do it anyways.
For example, I picked going to the gym as my daily discipline practice. And for the days I take a rest from going to the gym, I do some reading to expand my knowledge about various topics. Working out is good for your physical and mental health. Most people treat working out as a punishment or only to look good. But you shouldn't forget the mental benefits of working out. If you're dealing with stress, depression or anxiety, try working out. I'm sure that it will help you feel better. Just because I lift, doesn't mean that you have to lift at the gym as well. It can be swimming, walking, dancing, pilates or yoga, whatever you enjoy. Find something that suits your lifestyle and your preferences and stick to it.
If your goal is to exercise more, you might commit to going for a walk or run every day, even if you don't feel like it. Or, if your goal is to write more, you might commit to writing for 15 minutes every day, no matter how you feel. By consistently doing these things, even when you don't feel motivated, you'll build the discipline you need to achieve your goals.
It's important to remember that discipline is not about being perfect or never giving into temptation. It's about committing yourself and following through on it, even when it's hard.
So next time you feel unmotivated, remind yourself that discipline is the key to success. And remember to focus on daily practice to build the discipline you need to achieve your goals.

As Jim Rohn said: "We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret." The first is usually tiny when compared to the latter.
yeap, all true, but I would add - do not go to extremes when working out or finding new hobby such as walking or swimming. If you do it, it can ADD to your anxiety. I am often very anxious BEFORE the workout, because I try to "prove myself", always wake up on time early. We should take it easy, the road is the key, not the final detination. Cheers.
