Have you ever felt like your life is out of control?
Almost as if it's slipping away from your grasp and you can't do anything about it? If so, you're not alone. Many people feel stuck, hopeless, tired, and unmotivated at some point in their lives.
But the truth is, nobody is going to save you. Your life is within your control. If you want a different life than the one you have now, then you need to act differently.
Don't be mad about the results you didn't earn from the work you didn't do.
In order to gain control over your life script, you need to focus on three things: mindset, habits, and systems. By focusing on these three areas, you can create a roadmap to success that works for you.
🧠 Mindset
Your mindset is the foundation of your success. It's important to have your core values and priorities set. We're in an era bombarded with opinions and information. If you keep listening to everyone, you won't have a direction. These days, people don't think critically.
When it comes to setting your priorities/core values, Ray Dalio's book "Principles for Life and Work" offers great advice.
He suggests that you should think for yourself to decide what you want, what is true, and what you should do to achieve it. Your filter should be your values. You need to have your priorities set.
🏃♀️Habits
Your habits will be fed by your values. Depending on your core values and principles, your habits will be shaped. To gain control over your life script, you should focus on habits for your mind, body, and life.
Habits for your mind include reading, writing, practicing gratitude, and visualization. Habits for your body include exercise, healthy eating, proper sleep, and hydration. Habits for life include networking and building real relationships, giving back to family, planning and setting goals, learning new skills, and managing your time.
⚙️ Systems
Without a proper system, burnout is inevitable. Time management is a skill that should be taught early in life. Here are a few signs that might indicate you're currently managing your time poorly:
You're constantly late for meetings and missing deadlines.
You're frequently getting distracted and wasting time.
You have a hard time making decisions and setting your priorities.
To avoid these pitfalls, you should focus on creating a system for effective time management. This includes a time audit, setting priorities, designing your time budget, time blocking, setting a timer, and learning to focus and keep distractions away. You can also use time management tools like a to-do list and calendar.
By focusing on these three areas – mindset, habits, and systems – you can gain control over your life and create a roadmap to success that works for you. Remember, nobody is going to save you. Your life is within your control.
If you want a different life than the one you have now, then you need to act differently.

This reminds me of something that I thought about some time ago. If one wants to be successful they need three things in life: Wisdom, belief in oneself and strength. Wisdom is the guide, charisma/belief in oneself is the source of motivation(you should not only attract others, but also yourself) and strength(mental and physical) is the safety net that does not allow one to collapse when life does not go as planned.
Wisdom could be compared to mindset since charisma and strength often stem from wisdom. Charisma/belief in oneself/confidence is like the habits because they make you into the person you wish to be. Finally strength is comparable to systems because they keep your life functioning properly.
I know that the comparisons above are not perfect, but they are something interesting to think about occasionally.
